施足底肥很重要（发酵好的鸡粪最好）。及时疏花疏果剪掉子枝蔓，尤其做果后果以下生出的子枝蔓。肥一定跟上。结果的植物没有不喜欢肥的。水也跟上，肥大容易烧苗。底肥做足之后，以后可以结合把肥融到水里，薄肥勤施。
